The template

This code of conduct describes the standards of behavior that Company name (the "Company") expects from everyone who works with it. It exists to keep the workplace respectful, honest, and safe — for colleagues, clients, and partners alike. Your signature confirms that you have read it and agree to uphold it.

1. Who this code applies to

The code applies to all employees, contractors, and anyone acting on the Company's behalf, in every setting where they represent the Company: offices, remote work, client sites, business travel, Company events, and online channels used for work. It is not a contract and does not list every possible situation; when the right course of action is unclear, ask your manager or the people team before acting.

2. Core standards

  1. Respect. Treat everyone with courtesy and professionalism. Harassment, discrimination, bullying, and intimidation are not tolerated in any form.
  2. Integrity. Be honest in your work and communications. Do not falsify records, misrepresent results, or mislead colleagues, clients, or the Company.
  3. Compliance. Follow the laws that apply to your work and the Company's policies, including those on confidentiality, security, and data protection.
  4. Fair dealing. Compete and collaborate fairly. Do not take improper advantage of anyone through manipulation, concealment, or abuse of privileged information.

3. Workplace behavior

  • Communicate professionally, including in chat, email, and meetings — tone matters as much as content.
  • Respect differences of background, identity, and opinion; disagree with ideas, not people.
  • Do not attend work under the influence of substances that impair your judgment or performance.
  • Never threaten or commit violence, and report any safety concern promptly.
  • Keep client interactions courteous and honest, and escalate difficult conversations rather than letting them turn hostile.

4. Conflicts of interest and gifts

  1. Avoid situations where your personal interests could conflict with the Company's, and disclose potential conflicts to your manager as soon as you become aware of them.
  2. Do not offer or accept gifts, hospitality, or favors that could reasonably be seen as influencing a business decision. Modest courtesies of nominal value are acceptable.
  3. Outside work — a second job, an advisory role, or your own venture — is acceptable only when it does not compete with the Company, use its confidential information, or interfere with your responsibilities.

5. Company assets and information

  1. Use Company equipment, systems, and funds responsibly and primarily for work purposes.
  2. Protect confidential information belonging to the Company, its clients, and its partners, both during and after your engagement.
  3. Only authorized spokespeople may make public statements on the Company's behalf.

6. Speaking up

If you experience or witness conduct that may violate this code, report it. You can raise concerns with your manager, with the people team, or through the reporting channel designated by the Company. Reports are handled discreetly, and you may ask to remain anonymous where the channel allows it. The Company prohibits retaliation of any kind against anyone who reports a concern in good faith or participates in an investigation. Managers who receive a report must escalate it through the proper channel promptly and must never handle it informally or sit on it.

7. Consequences

Violations of this code are taken seriously and may lead to corrective action up to and including termination of employment or engagement, in line with applicable law and Company procedures. Where the conduct may also break the law, the Company may refer the matter to the appropriate authorities.

Acknowledgment

I, Employee full name, confirm that I have received and read this code of conduct, that I understand the standards and reporting channels it describes, and that I agree to follow it in my work with the Company.
