The template

{{Company name}} is hiring a Mobile Engineer to build and ship our {{Platform: iOS, Android, or cross-platform}} app. You will own features from design to app-store release, and treat crashes, jank, and battery drain as bugs — because users do.

What you'll do

  • Build features in {{Mobile stack, for example native or a cross-platform framework}} from design handoff to store release.
  • Own app performance: startup time, smooth scrolling, memory, and battery behavior on real devices.
  • Handle the mobile realities well — offline states, flaky networks, interruptions, and OS updates.
  • Manage the release cycle: builds, store submissions, staged rollouts, and hotfix discipline.
  • Integrate with backend APIs and push for contracts that respect mobile constraints.
  • Keep crash rates low with monitoring, careful error handling, and fast triage.
  • Write maintainable, tested code and review teammates' work with care.

What we're looking for

  • {{Years of experience}} years building mobile apps that shipped to the App Store or Google Play.
  • Strong command of your platform's language and toolchain, plus its UI framework idioms.
  • Experience with the full release pipeline, including store review quirks and rollout strategy.
  • Practical knowledge of mobile architecture patterns and when each is overkill.
  • An instinct for platform conventions — your screens feel native, not ported.
  • Experience debugging device-specific and OS-version-specific issues.

Nice to have

  • Experience on the second platform, or with a cross-platform framework.
  • Push notifications, deep linking, and in-app purchase experience.
  • Familiarity with mobile CI/CD and automated UI testing.
  • Published apps or open-source work we can install and try.

Compensation and benefits

  • {{Salary range}}
  • {{Benefits summary}}
  • {{Location / remote policy}}

How to apply

{{Application instructions}} Link to an app you shipped and tell us about the trickiest device- or platform-specific bug you have fixed.
