The template

{{Company name}} is hiring a Python Developer to build the services, integrations, and automation behind our product. You will write Python that other people enjoy maintaining — typed, tested, and shaped around the problem rather than the framework.

What you'll do

  • Build and maintain backend services and APIs using {{Framework, for example FastAPI or Django}}.
  • Write clean, idiomatic, well-typed Python with tests that document intent.
  • Design integrations with third-party APIs and internal systems, handling failure modes explicitly.
  • Automate repetitive workflows — data jobs, internal tooling, and scripts that save the team hours.
  • Work with databases: schema design, migrations, and queries that stay fast under load.
  • Profile and optimize hot paths when performance actually matters, and resist doing it before.
  • Review teammates' code and help raise the standard of the Python codebase.

What we're looking for

  • {{Years of experience}} years of professional Python development in production systems.
  • Deep command of the language: iterators, context managers, typing, async where appropriate.
  • Experience with at least one major Python web framework and its ecosystem.
  • Solid SQL and practical experience with a relational database.
  • Testing fluency with pytest or equivalent — you write tests without being asked.
  • Comfort with the modern Python toolchain: packaging, linting, and CI.

Nice to have

  • Experience with async task queues and background job processing.
  • Data-adjacent skills: pandas, ETL work, or API-heavy data integrations.
  • Exposure to containerization and deploying Python services to {{Cloud provider}}.
  • Open-source contributions to Python projects.

Compensation and benefits

  • {{Salary range}}
  • {{Benefits summary}}
  • {{Location / remote policy}}

How to apply

{{Application instructions}} Share a repository or code sample you are proud of, and tell us about a piece of Python you refactored so the next person could understand it.
