The template

{{Company name}} is hiring a Senior Product Designer to lead design on our most important product bets. Beyond shipping excellent work yourself, you will raise the bar for how design happens here β€” shaping strategy with product leadership, mentoring other designers, and owning problems where the right answer is genuinely unclear.

What you'll do

  • Own the design of a major product area end to end, from problem framing to shipped experience and its metrics.
  • Shape roadmap conversations with product and engineering leads β€” bringing user evidence early, not decorating decisions late.
  • Untangle ambiguous, multi-team problems into clear flows, principles, and sequenced design work.
  • Set and model the quality bar: your critique makes other people's work better, not just prettier.
  • Mentor designers through pairing, feedback, and career conversations.
  • Drive the evolution of our design system where product needs outgrow current patterns.
  • Lead user research on high-stakes questions and socialize findings so the whole team owns them.

What we're looking for

  • {{Years of experience}} years of product design experience, including clear ownership of complex, shipped product areas.
  • A portfolio demonstrating both craft excellence and strategic judgment β€” the why behind the work is as strong as the work.
  • Experience influencing product direction, not just executing a defined brief.
  • A track record of mentoring or leveling up other designers.
  • Fluency across the full design stack: research, IA, interaction, visual, and prototyping.
  • Communication strong enough to align skeptical stakeholders without escalation.
  • Comfort being the most senior design voice in the room and being accountable for the outcome.

Nice to have

  • Experience in {{Industry}} or with comparable product complexity.
  • Experience establishing design processes or rituals that outlived your involvement.
  • Facilitation skills for workshops and cross-functional alignment.
  • Front-end literacy that sharpens feasibility conversations.

Compensation and benefits

  • {{Salary range}}
  • {{Benefits summary}}
  • {{Location / remote policy}}

How to apply

{{Application instructions}} Share your portfolio and tell us about the most ambiguous problem you have owned β€” how you framed it, what you shipped, and what changed as a result.
